Proofs of Berkeley residency must be recent and have the address and parent/guardian's name. Acceptable proofs include:
- PG&E bill
- EBMUD bill
- Garbage
- Telephone bill (not cell phone)
- Cable bill
- Bank Statement
- Paycheck stub
- Drivers License
- Action letter from Social Services
- Berkeley Housing Authority documentation
NOTE: At least one proof of residency must be a utility bill (PG & E, EBMUD, Telephone, Garbage, Cable or Land-line phone).
After receiving a school assignment from the Admissions Office, parents must then register their student at Berkeley High School (or Independent Study or B Tech). To register, bring each child's immunization record, birth certificate, and transcript from the proceeding school. For further information on dates and procedures for enrolling in the high school, selecting small schools, selecting classes, etc, please contact the High School directly at (510) 644-6120.

The Admissions & Attendance Office is located at 1835 Allston Way, Berkeley, CA 94704, and is open Monday through Friday from 8 am to noon and 1 pm to 4 pm.
